Murr’s Idiosyncrasies: Girl Trouble

It’s no secret that Murr has had the most trouble with girls in the show. He’s the polar opposite, and appropriately at that, of Sal in this regard.

The others jokers know this all too well (more than we’ll ever know) and have on many occasions put to good use this quality during some challenges and punishments.

The resulting effect is that in the rare occasion when Murr proves to be lucky, such a scene is quickly made eligible for one of his most memorable moments. It would seem someone is in dire need of some “Eau Ver Compensate”.

Notable Episodes

  1. Impractical Jokers Season 3, Episode 2 The Great Escape
Murr is falling for his stand-up bass student. He wears his heart on the sleeves, the girl seems flattered.
  2. Impractical Jokers Season 3, Episode 5 Bonus Footage
Murr is an artist and has fallen for Brandy from Guam. He even has a song about her all written up and as expected, Brandy is flattered and can’t wait to get her blush on. All good, only one minor problem — Murr wants to have a shot of brandy before it even gets poured.
  3. Impractical Jokers Season 5, Episode 2 You’re Cut Off
While working at the Unique Copy Centre, Q asks a lady client if he finds Murr attractive. After a quick scan, she answers in the affirmative, only to seemingly rescind this decision a few moments by admitting she wouldn’t date Murr. To add insult to injury, Q and the other jokers proceed to lessen his chances by bringing to the table his receding hairline while starkly contrasting it to his hairy and “overachieving” past.
  4. Impractical Jokers Season 5, Episode 14 The Coward
Murr tries to get them digits from a pretty co-worker, but in the process screws it up by suggesting she’s married, a slip that she makes good use of to reject Murr politely. Later on (in what seems staged), the lady ecstatically agrees to go out on a date with Sal to the same play (Hamilton) Murr had earlier suggested.
  5. Impractical Jokers Season 6, Episode 9 Drum and Drummer
As an elaborate ruse, the jokers send an actress (Blair) to Murr’s psychoanalyst session with the plan that the two should hit it off. Naturally, the “baeless” Murr falls for the trick and ends up setting up a date to go and watch what we can now conclude to be his go-to first date idea — Hamilton. The excitement however lasts a few minutes after Q flings the door open calling off Blair for an acting job well executed.
  6. Impractical Jokers Season 4 Episode 25 The Taunted House
This is a rare one, as it’s the only time Murr proves to be lucky. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that he “wasn’t himself” but a Gary who, with the help of his wingman Q, throws a witty pickup line on Anissa — the girl next door with wet hands and a tattoo of Barry on her neck.
